Green Card processing delay

Postby mma » Thu Nov 02, 2006 12:06 pm

I am adjusting my status based on marriage to US citizen. I have EAD and travel parole. I went through an immigration interview successfully one year ago. The only thing pending is FBI name check clearance. I never interfered with the law anywhere in the world. I am pretty sure there are no records about me anywhere. I am wondering why it takes them so long to process. I am afraid some residency programs will count EAD against me. They do prefer Green card, right?

As long as you have a valid EAD, this is not a problem.
