Hello
I am non-American IMG. I graduated from my med school in 2010. I passed step2 cs from the second time and I am going to do step2 ck again after I failed it. In step 1 I had a 99 score from the first time. I have 4 months of US clerkships (2 surgery and 2 internal medicine). I have no research experience. I may pass step 3 before I apply to the match.
Can I still get a US residency post? Perhaps in Family Medicine? Or is it too hard?
Thanks

You sure can. Having 99 in step 1 helps a lot. Many US graduates don't have Step 2 results in September-October, so programs make their interview decisions based on Step 1 alone. Make sure you apply early.

Thank you!
Do you mean that they would ignore my bad step2 score even if they can see it in my application?

They will still take it into consideration. My point is that STep 2 CK has less weight in the first months of applica6tion season.
